Although Cami has seen many mirrors before, when I showed her this mirror today, she totally freaked out. She screamed with delight and tried to touch her reflection. Then she proceeded to stare at herself.....at length. Let's just say these pictures were taken twenty minutes apart--honestly. (Those of you who know me may find some humor in her behavior). She was just perfectly content to lay in her crib and stare at her reflection all day. Let's hope she is as fond of her reflection during her teenage years!!!
This is a blog about my family: Chris (husband extrodinaire), Cameron Juliet (two year old darling daughter), Barnaby (5 pound Yorkshire Terror), Saddie ("big boned" yellow lab), Hershey (lovable, but slow, chocolate lab), and me, Jenna,(wife, mother and teacher).

Six Months Going on 6 Years!
Chris and I had to go to our accountant's office yesterday, so I used this as an opportunity to dress Cami up and take her out. After I finished putting on her jeans, and sweatshirt (thanks Aunt Bridget!) and shoes, I stopped to look at her and realized--she is all grown up. She sat in the chair examining her outfit, looking like quite a little lady. She really isn't a baby anymore--but a little girl with a bit of the devil in her eye. I don't know what it was about seeing her in jeans that put me over the edge, but I now have visions of her stepping on the school bus to go to 1st grade already!!

Oh, How Time Flies!
Okay, okay, I get it! I understand why people have more babies. They grow up SO FAST!!! It's really sad to know Cami won't ever be this little again. And although I so look forward to her growing up, and all the fun and wonderment that comes with being a "little lady", I must say, seeing this video of when she was first born, and how little she is, made me a bit sad. Why do they grow so fast? So I just thought, as she turns half of a year old, this video would be a little nostalgic. I'm nostalgic already! Imagine when she leaves for college--I'll be a basketcase!!

Just Couldn't Resist
It's Official: She's Advanced
Okay maybe not "advanced" but definately strong-willed and a control freak (I have no idea where she could have gotten these traits from). Maybe it's just cause she is a Leo. Yeah, I'm going with that one!!! Anyway, my 6 month old daughter is feeding herself! Enjoy.

Bouncy Bouncy Baby (finally)
Cami is finally able to enjoy her Christmas present from the Grandmommy and Poppi! She was just too small back in December, but now, one month later, her little toes are just able to reach the floor. She loves bouncing! If she stops, you just have to say, "Bouncy, bouncy, Baby!" and she starts again (genius, obviously). She is reluctant to smile when I whip out the camera (what is that about??) but I caught a little one today!
Also, for all of you that are concerned that my posts are from 4 and 5am--please do not worry-- the darn blog will not go to eastern stadard time--I'm on pacific time and I can't seem to change it. You all didn't really think I was getting up at 5am to blog, did you? I'm not that dorky!!
Also, a solid food update: sweet potatoes are going over very well! Apples are still not a favorite, but if she likes veggies better than fruits I am not going to complain!!
