Play Date (Miss Muscles)

I had the loveliest play date today with a friend and her adorable brood. However, I must say, my heart did break just a bit when Cami went to play dress-up. Instead of choosing any one of the lovely princess dresses available, my daughter decided to dress up as a...wait for it.... muscle man. A muscle man with a Zorro hat. Awesome. She then proceeded to leave the "dress-up" area and take her shopping cart around the rest of the joint in her muscle costume. Her mother was so proud.

It Was Only A Matter of Time..

What am I supposed to do now?!?!?

Big Girls PJs

We have finally graduated from the beloved "footy" PJ's to official "big girl" PJ's. There is just something about her new nighttime outfits that make her seem so grown up. I thought it was worth documenting...

Happy Easter

Easter was such a wonderful holiday this year! Last year Cami was ill, so we didn't get to do much celebrating. But this year she did great! We went to visit the Easter Bunny on Saturday. All went well right up until the very moment she was to sit on his lap. Then we had a minor meltdown, as our official Easter Bunny picture clearly illustrates. However, we were not deterred for too long. After the picture she proceeded to parade around the mall, showing off her beautiful Easter attire, accepting all of the kind compliments from strangers along the way. She particularly enjoyed throwing pennies into the fountain!

Sunday Cami awoke to a small Easter basket and an Easter egg hunt around the house-- which I was thrilled that she TOTALLY got! She was too cute finding the eggs and putting them directly into her basket. I loved every minute of it. Then she got back into her pretty dress for church (which she was eager to model for the camera) and then brunch with Grandmommy and Poppi. She did so well! I was so proud!

Bubble (Part Two)

Leave it to Aunt Jackie! Because only she would follow-up so wonderfully (and appropriately) from her last successful visit. You see, this time Aunt Jackie actually made BUBBLES come to life! She brought the real thing for Cami to see--not just to look at and laugh at in a book, but to play with! Of course now Cami wants to play with "Bubbles!" on a regular basis!!!

Godfather Danny

Cami recently got to spend some quality time with her Godfather. My Uncle Danny, her Godfather, has always been involved in the important moments in her life, but it was this visit where I think she really began to see how lucky she is to have him as her Godfather. He made her laugh and played with her dolly, but I knew it was love when she shared her grilled cheese with him!
