Oy Vey!

This is how my daughter sleeps. Doesn't she seem like she is already 50?? She looks like she is saying, "Oy vey, what a day I have had!" I think she is an old soul.
Erin, couldn't this be a "Wordless Wednesday" entry???

Bouncy Bouncy Baby (finally)

Cami is finally able to enjoy her Christmas present from the Grandmommy and Poppi! She was just too small back in December, but now, one month later, her little toes are just able to reach the floor. She loves bouncing! If she stops, you just have to say, "Bouncy, bouncy, Baby!" and she starts again (genius, obviously). She is reluctant to smile when I whip out the camera (what is that about??) but I caught a little one today!

Also, for all of you that are concerned that my posts are from 4 and 5am--please do not worry-- the darn blog will not go to eastern stadard time--I'm on pacific time and I can't seem to change it. You all didn't really think I was getting up at 5am to blog, did you? I'm not that dorky!!

Also, a solid food update: sweet potatoes are going over very well! Apples are still not a favorite, but if she likes veggies better than fruits I am not going to complain!!

Husband of the Year

I know this blog is about my daughter, and all of her accomplishments, but I just had to take some time to celebrate my amazing husband. He will, of course, kill me for doing this, but anyway....

Chris has always been "handy" around the house. He is quick to fix things, and even build some things from scratch. Like when I told him I wanted to turn the half wall in our living room into a breakfast bar. No problem!! And recently when I told him I wanted a corner banquette for the kitchen he said, "What is a banquette?" After I explained it, he went to work, and I must say, he has out-done himself. He built the MOST BEAUTIFUL corner banquette I have ever seen! I love it, and I am so proud of him and all of his talents. So here's to you, Honey! You still rock my world!

A Visit From Aunt Jackie

Cameron was very excited to see her "Aunt" Jackie this weekend. She drove all the way up from her home in Maryland just to have some Cami-time!! Aunt Jackie also brought a beautiful knit dress that Cami was very excited to wear to dinner and Grandmommy and Poppi's. Thanks for the visit, Aunt Jackie! Come and give us hugs anytime!!

I Don't Think She Likes Apples

I warned you there would be more videos!! So I don't know if all kids do this when they taste a new food, or if Cami just really doesn't like apples, but this was her reaction to tasting the fruit. Though she is clearly traumatized, Chris and I find it quite funny, as you can hear. At one point I think she takes a swat at me!? So to all my fellow mommies out there: D o I stop feeding her apples? Will she be the only kid in the entire universe that doesn't like them??

Naked Dancing Baby

I am excited about this particular blog entry for a couple of reasons. First I have finally figured out how to add little videos!! Yay! Brace yourself for many more little Cameron ditties! Second of all I am excited that we were able to capture Cami's laugh on camera. We have been trying this for months now, but every time the camera comes out she immediately stops her silliness. And the most obvious reason for my excitement is because my adorable baby is naked and laughing. Have I mentioned how funny she thinks her daddy is? When do you think she will catch on that it is, in fact, her mommy that is the funny one? Perhaps when she is older she will fully appreciate my humor.....

First Food

We have reached a milestonein the Anderson Household: Cami is eating rice cereal!!! (Remember: I'm a stay-at-home mom so little things make big news around here). She is doing very well with it, although it does make quite a mess. And of course, my little Leo is already grabbing the spoon trying to do it herself. I can just see the future arguments, but I digress..

Also Cami is now sleeping on her tummy at night. As if her crazy Mommy doesn't have enough to worry about, now she litterally sleeps on her face with her hand covering her face. I'm now up at least three times a night to check for breathing. Good thing she remains ADORABLE!!

Christmas 2007

We didn't take many pictures Christmas morning because Cami had no idea what was going on, but I manged to find a few. She is not quite ready for all of the toys that Santa brought her this year. She's still too little. But she does know how to get all dolled up in a pretty dress. Mom hosted Christmas Eve this year. It's always a special time because I get to see my three cousins, whom I adore, and Cami got to see her Godfather (my cousins' father). Mom even set a place setting for Cami at the dinner table. As the sun set the lumineries on our street just glowed. It was a great holiday!
