Shopping with Tink

I guess it was only a matter of time--I mean, this happens when you have a little girl....

The other day when I needed to run errands, Cami wanted to wear her Tinkerbell costume. In public. With no shame whatsoever.

So there I was: shopping with Tink.

Swimming

This summer Cami has developed many new loves, and one big one is swimming! She loves it--and is very good for never having had a lesson. She is very daring--she will float on her back, and put her face underwater. We joined a swim club this year, so she will get lots of practice and lessons will start soon too.

School Spirit Day

During the Flyers fantastic playoff run this spring, Cami's school requested that all of the students wear Flyers colors to show support. What started as a simple trip to the store to buy her a Flyers tee shirt ended up with me purchasing an orange over-the-top tutu ensemble. Yet, she loved it and worked it to it's fullest--as the video clearly illustrates.

Rockstar

It all started with me buying Cami a pair of over-sized white sunglasses. Then she channeled a little Mick Jagger, and finally Daddy jazzed up the pic to really show what we were all invisioning.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

I told you she could "read". I will forever love this book for getting her to know her letters at age 2! I also enjoy the dramatic way she reads the book--I have no idea from where she gets such flair.

Take Your Child To Work Day

I was so nervous to do it, but I took Cami to work with me this year. She couldn't have been more excited. The night before she carefully packed her own lunch in her Thomas the Train lunchbox. She loved getting to do what Mommy does each night. When the morning finally came, she was ready to roll. I was so proud of her! She interacted with my students and my co-workers. She even wrote on the board while Mommy was teaching. My favorite part of the day was when she "read" Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to my reading classes. The students loved her and kept coming back to the classroom for a hello or high-five from Cami. Lunch was also quite special because we snuck outside and ate our pb+js together. It was like spending time with my best friend. I was so proud and happy. I wish I could take her with me every day.

Every Three Months

That's about right--it seems to take me three months to find time enough to update this blog. Sorry for those who keep demanding updates. I'm finally on it!! Enjoy!

Happy Easter

Easter was a very popular holiday with Cami this year. She was spoiled by many family members who sent her early presents and baskets. She enjoyed opening each and every gift. She was also very excited for the Easter Bunny's arrival. She was anxious to look for the eggs he hid for her all over the house. In fact since Sunday she has woken up every day and asked, "Did the Easter Bunny come again?!?" She even wants Santa to hide her presents around the house now like the Easter Bunny did. Too cute.

Lil' Artist

I am actually very proud of myself on this one: I bought Cami paint! She loves to paint! Sometimes she uses brushes and sometimes her fingers--but either way, I think there is some real talent there. (Yes, it's washable--you know me better than that).

Spring Showers

Cami is ready for any Spring Showers April may have in store--because she has froggy boots and a froggy raincoat. Even though her mommy tried very hard to get her the cute pink flowery rain jacket and boots, Cami insisted on the frog ones. Great. Regardless, she is ready for torrential downpours now...
